Surprisingly Better Than Store Bought Fruit Roll-Ups — And Healthier Too!
After having a couple kids of my own I started paying more attention to labels. That’s when I realized that the store bought Fruit Roll-Ups really don’t contain much fruit at all. In fact, they contain 2% or less of any Natural Flavors – They actually put it right on the label.
Unfortunately this means that they are not good to eat while on the HCG Diet. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a tasty Fruit Roll-Up, or Fruit Leather as they are sometimes called. It does mean however, that if you want a delicious yet healthy Fruit Roll-Up you will simply have to make it yourself.
Apple Fruit Roll-Ups
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Wash, peel, core and chop apples and place them into a medium saucepan.
- Add in the 1/2 cup of water and bring to a simmer.
- Cover and cook for about 10 minutes or until soft.
- Add Stevia, Cinnamon and Lemon Juice, then mash like you would if you were making mashed potatoes.
